Meet Tammy Charlon Bouyer
A neighbor, a community leader, and a candidate who knows Ridgecrest, because she's lived it.
Running for the City She Loves
My name is Tammy Charlon Bouyer, and I'm running for Ridgecrest City Council for the city I love, and the people I respect and am asking to serve.
My roots in Ridgecrest run deep. I grew up here and have spent the majority of my life in this community. This city and our amazing neighbors helped shape the values I hold dear, my family, and my children. Now I have the joy of watching my granddaughter begin her own journey in the place I love.
That's why the future of our city matters so much to me, and why I'm committed to being a champion for it as a member of the Ridgecrest City Council.
Three Values. Every Decision.
I will bring these values to every decision I make as your City Council representative.
Accountability
Meaningful transparency at every level of government, for our water, our money, and our future.
Service
A genuine commitment to listening, asking hard questions, and taking real action for our community.
Commitment to Our Future
Decisions made not just for today, but for the Ridgecrest our children and grandchildren will inherit.
Deep Roots in Ridgecrest
Raised in Ridgecrest, Tammy has spent the majority of her life in this community. The city shaped her values, her family, and her sense of purpose. She raised her children here, and today she has the joy of watching her granddaughter begin her own journey in the place she loves.
Those deep roots aren't just personal history; they're the foundation of why Tammy is running. She knows this community, its people, and its challenges from the inside out.
A Small-Business Family
As the daughter of a local small-business owner, Tammy grew up watching, learning about, and working alongside Ridgecrest's local businesses. That experience gave her a firsthand understanding of what it takes to build something in a desert valley with limited resources and strong community ties.
She strongly believes in economic growth and the opportunities it can bring, but she also knows that smart, responsible growth is the only kind that truly serves our community long-term.
A Community Leader
Tammy's commitment to Ridgecrest goes beyond words. As a leader in the RidgeProject efforts, she saw firsthand what it takes to turn community concern into real action, organizing neighbors, engaging volunteers, and making a visible difference in the cleanliness and appearance of our city.
Nearly a year ago, she became actively involved in local groundwater and taxpayer accountability issues, ultimately helping form Taxpayers for Accountability for our Groundwater, a grassroots citizen group working for greater transparency in how our water and money are managed.
Ready to Serve
Tammy isn't running because she thinks Ridgecrest needs someone who simply knows how to talk about our problems. She's running because she loves our city, she knows its people, and she's ready to listen, serve, ask hard questions, and take real action for what she believes is right for our community.
She believes Ridgecrest deserves accountable leadership, responsible growth, a community we can be proud of, and a future we can believe in. She's ready to serve, and she's asking for your vote.
I'm not running because I think Ridgecrest needs someone who simply knows how to talk about our problems. I'm running because I love our city, I know its people, and I'm ready to listen, serve, ask hard questions, and take real action."
